There is something reassuring about standing for something, and knowing what we stand for.
For men and women who are true to themselves and to the virtues and standards they have
personally adopted, it is not difficult to be true to others.

Happy Father's Day!

What a wonderful day to celebrate daddies!

And There Went My Due Date ...

June 12th has come and gone, and still no sign of Baby Z ...

As anxious as we are to meet our little guy, here's the good news: My doctor has been out of town for over a week visiting his new twin grand babies, so I've actually been hoping to hang on until he got back. Just saw him this morning, and I feel so much more relieved knowing my own doctor will deliver Mr. Zachary. I've decided this child is either exceedingly thoughtful or just plain stubborn. Given the personalities of his parents (who can each be thoughtful and stubborn), it's probably a little bit of both!

Me on my due date.

40 weeks and going strong!

We're ready when you are, little one! And if you won't come on your own, we'll get you here one way or another. That doctor you so thoughtfully waited for doesn't want Mama waiting too much longer, so ready or not, June 15th is your date (I'm scheduled to be induced bright and early Wednesday morning)! We think it's a pretty perfect date, as you'll be your Nanny's birthday present. (But we also think the 13th and 14th are lovely days, too ... no pressure.)
